Phil Woods brings an elite international and NCAA Division I pedigree to the Arkansas Legends. Originally from Sheffield, England, Phil competed for Rotherham United and St. Louis USL U23 before moving to the collegiate ranks at Missouri State University. As a player, he helped lead the Bears to two conference championships, and he has since translated that success into a prolific coaching career.

Phil has served as an assistant coach at both the University of Tulsa and Missouri State, where his staff earned MVC Coaching Staff of the Year honors three times. With deep roots in elite youth development, Phil has coached and scouted for the FC Dallas Academy and led their U23 squad. Currently an Assistant Coach for Arkansas State Women’s Soccer, Phil holds the prestigious UEFA A License, providing Legends players with world-class tactical instruction and a direct link to the collegiate and professional soccer pathways.
